Valerie’s recipe for Tuna Casserole

6ozs. Medium Noodles 1 7oz. can Tuna
½ cup mayonnaise ¼ cup chopped pimento
¼ cup chopped celery 1/3 cup chopped onion
¼ cup diced green peppers 2tbsps. butter
1 pkt . Spring Vegetable Soup 1 cup water
½ cup milk 1 cup grated cheese
Flaked almonds Cup = large cup

Method
1 . Cook Noodles and drain.
2. Mix noodles , mayonnaise , tuna and pimento.
3. Saute onion ,celery and green pepper .
4. Stir in Tuna mixture.
5. In saucepan , mix soup and water, bring to the boil stirring constantly.
6. Simmer for 7 minutes .
7. Stir in milk, bring to the boil stirring all the time .
8. Mix cheese into the sauce and stir until melted.
9. Mix saucewith Tuna mix and pour into casserole .
10. Top with flaked almonds and bake for 25 - 30minutes at 175 o C.
I use tin red pepper. As Spring Vegetable Soup is unobtainable I use a vegetable soup. This is an American Recipe so use their cup measures !
