Woodcuts

Tutor; Merlyn Chesterman

This course covers the basic skill involved in woodblock printing, including cutting, registering and printing several colour blocks, using the multi-block process.

Good craftmanship and tool sharpening are emphasized and blocks will be hand printed.

Students may bring their own source material or work from the local environment.

Some specialist papers and tools (if you wish to buy your own) will also be available at cost.

Requirements List

Please bring a pencil, permanent marker, tracing paper, apron and thin rubber gloves.
